Hogsback

Hogsback is a village that lies in the heart of the Amatole Mountains and believed by some to have been the setting of J.R. Tolkein’s “Lord of the rings”. Here one enters a spectacular world of waterfalls and forests where monkeys play in tree tops and the call of the Knysna Lourie can be heared. Cape Parrots can also be seen nesting in the Yellowood trees.
