Cradock lies on the banks of the Great Fish River it is a beautiful and tranquil place renowned for wool and mohair. Cradock is home to many historical buildings, national monuments and churches. Olive Schreiner, one of South Africa’s famous authors attended school in Cradock and based her most famous novel 'The Story of an African Farm' a farm in Cradock.
