Wepener is full of atmosphere and lies in the valley of the Jammersbergspruit roughly 109km (67.689 mi) to the Van Rooyen gate which forms the border between South Africa and Lesotho. The gate is open from : 6am-10pm Monday to Sunday.

Ahanang Sewing & Knitting
This small group of local women is fighting poverty and providing for their families by making traditional and conventional clothing.
Their name means "Building together".

Emanang Disabled Group
("Stand up Disabled!")
The extraordinary group of about sixty disabled people manufacture arts & crafts.
Visit them at the Qibing Municipal building.

Caledon Nature Reserve
Fishing is the main attraction. The river supports barbel, mudfish, yellowfish and carp. Canoeists and hikers are welcome.

Caledon River Bridge
Sturdy sandstone bridge, declared a national monument.

City Hall
A historical sandstone building, built in 1927.

Dutch Reformed Church
A sandstone edifice built in 1882, and widely-know for its grandeur.

Jammersdrift Battlesite
The site of many Briton-Boer clashes, with many British graves in the area.

Louw Wepener Memorial
A bronze bust, by acclaimed sculptor Coert Steynberg, unveiled on the 100-year anniversary of Wepener's death.
