| Margate is a popular seaside resort on the south coast that has a fishing pier, a lagoon, a tidal pool, a children’s paddling pool and an Olympic size freshwater pool. In 1922 Margate made headlines with the “Margate Monster” which was a massive, furry, white creature that had washed up on the shores. The “Margate Monster” could not be identified as it was badly decomposed. |
