Port Nolloth

In 1854 Captian M.S. Nolloth picked this spot to develop a port for the Namaqualand copper mines. Today the harbor at Port Nolloth is badly silted and only small vessels can enter the harbor e.g. fishing and pleasure crafts and small vessels used by the diamond mining industry in the area. Port Nolloth is a hub for small scale diamond recovery and crayfishing industries. It also boasts the only resort on the Diamond Coast
